Kali Alexakos is an Associate of Delgado Rompf Bruen LLC. Prior to becoming an Associate, she was a Law Clerk and Legal Intern with the Firm beginning May 2022.
Ms. Alexakos represents clients in employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, humanitarian immigration, and naturalization. She represents clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Department of State. Ms. Alexakos is an active member of the Hellenic Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Alexakos worked as a Legal Extern for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, where she assisted in preparation for removal proceedings, analyzed cases for cancellation of removal, and prepared briefs for appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also worked as a Legal Intern for the Chicago-Kent Immigration Law Clinic, where she assisted in preparing asylum cases before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
During her time at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Ms. Alexakos was a Research Assistant for Professor Victoria Carmona. She and Professor Carmona co-authored International Human Rights Violations with Concern to the Regulation of Migration, which was presented at the New Voices in Human Rights Panel sponsored by the Association of American Law Schools. Ms. Alexakos was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review.
She received her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in May 2023. She holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Iowa, where she also minored in Spanish, in May 2020. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
